    I love pulling things apart

Post  Mikey on Sun Oct 04, 2009 3:50 am

Luckily Jono lent me an AK to practise on. SO much fun right now. Good thing he doesnt know that i know that he doesnt know that i have no idea how to put it back together. Its was spose to be just to downgrade the fps to <350 but im still in the process of cleaning the gooey brown grease off EVERYTHING. Even the outside of the cylinder was coated, they must have some simple spray on system at the factory. I quickey chronoed it again just before i opened it up and it was rather inconsistent, one shot would be 349 and the next 408. SO need to try and fix that too. Good news is they are easy to take apart. Way more so than a G36.

Yeah it does actually look like it has just exploaded. yes you do need to fix it so it is more like 350fps than 400ish so he does not need a 10m engagment distance. Good thing the tanks have gone on holidays

Its pretty straightforward, and its the same V3 mechbox as the MP5 and G36 both of which ive had apart several times already. Same stupid trigger spring that hates staying in place Evil or Very Mad

I'll spend the evening with the grinder and powerdrill, brb.

I've read stuff from other people about how the first thing they do with a Jong Gong gun is take apart and clean all the goo out.

    Awesomework btw.

I dare you to give it back to Jono like that he'll be wondering what would have happened to it

That worked well. Over about 30 shots it avgs 325, max 333 and min 317. Just a tad more consistent.
