    Group system.

Post  Hazard "The Executioner" on Wed Nov 17, 2010 10:30 am

Alright. I think that we need a new grouping system.

This problem will be solved by deleting NATO (already done) and Club Soviet (not done yet) and creating two new groups. The proposed groups will be called "green ops" and "black ops" each member will be voted upon and then moved into the groups based on which one they are better at.

People will not be moved into one group because they simply feel that the game COD: Black Ops is much more awesome than the others. (just to make that clear.) However, if one person has been unfairly voted onto a certain team I am willing to take appeals to get someone moved onto another team.

This organizational method will help because it will create a system where the members that are better at black ops can be mixed up with the members of green ops to create stable squads with different talents. Overall making the experience more enjoyable, in both black op and green op games and days.

Yes I realize there will be a time where this system won't work but until then, this method will work perfectly.

So the poll question is really asking: "Do you think this is a good idea?"

As this club and commitee only do things unanimously I will not do anything until I get a unanimous vote toward the situation and the go ahead from the commitee members.

If the go ahead is given a member will be voted upon as team leader. He will not be directly decided upon by anyone from the commitee. So yes that means that the younger members will be able to become team leaders.

So if the go ahead is given for the proposed idea, after the voting is done and the groups are sorted we will be taking nominations for the position of group leader, this process will take up to a week and the group members will vote on who they want as the team leader.

It would be optimal and overall preferred if the group leader was nominated due to quality of behavior during games and skill shown in either squad based management or general strategy in preferred game modes.

Thank you for reading the proposed idea. Comments/suggestions will be accepted below and please remember to vote.

Meh they just both simply need to be deleted and leave it at that. If we decide to later on down the track do something which me and Tim T have been talking about we might. But just see what future brings

Yeah that was going to be phase two of the plan. There would be games devoted around squads. Which would be derived from the groups. Which added the function of teams and squads, in various games this would be both helpful and make games a bit more interesting.

Thats already been talked about heaps. Will be something will do in future just for now getting everything moving is best side.

ASA has been doing this for ages so if we did we would have 6-8 squads of between 4-6 people with few other rules and bits and pieces on top of that EG: team name, uniform maybe, weapon if team choose, so forth so forth. Me and Tim already have a brilliant points system that we used to do back in good old war gaming days. So we would need few more people to begin with and go from there

If thats the case elle can i get the go-ahead to create a small team?

Me, Ray and Tim H have been talking about a small possibly five man team that would probably specialise in black ops.

Just thinking could start it earlier than expected. Thing is would have started way earlier but have problems of legal issues and crap like that. And having people come that are not in any of those teams.

So way to fix that is have this team competition thing run through the year with 4-5 teams make it I think every second game will be for our teams. And that day be whole day in your teams. So certain points can be won. Is easy enough to record and at maybe end of year can see who best team was. We also make it so you can do training days for your team but only team V team games on the designated day. So could be quite fun.

Yup So that is fine can be your team would expect a valid team leader per team and one legal person minimum. So I might start writing up later on. Then can start teams and start competition next year.

Got a valid callsign? If so after I have finished sending invitations for group invites to certain individuals and I know who's in and what's happening i will seriously consider applications.

A callsign has to be easy to say and different to others, it is either assigned by the squad via nomination or requested by the person in question.

has been talked about by committee and groups will only be used the odd time for group day events. Mikey said following

    "
What about making a one day event, with no obligation to carry it on? Focus on planning some good squad-freindly games, with a simple prize at the end of the day for the winners. Then everyone goes home with a sense of completeness and fun, and not winning is no excuse for blaming others or promptly losing interest in a long term competition becuase 'my team sucks'.

There will always be disagreements over rules for camo, weapons etc. You will have people with the correct weapons wanting to be on the wrong team, same for camo, those who dont care at all, those who care TOO much etc etc. For a single one-day one off event it may be possible for some to swap guns/clothes/gear just for the day by agreeement to add to the occassion. Would consider swapping just for one day, but not for a series.

Teams can be re-set on the day without a problem for a one day event, as there may be extras/missings."

Um all groups like soviet and allied and even your one have been deleted everyone agreed for them to go so they have gone
