    Russian Pistol

Post  Timothy T on Sun Aug 23, 2009 5:59 am

Hey, I figured out that a Colt 1911 won't really match an AK (left over WWII from american aid?).

And it turns out there isn't really any airsoft russian pistols. Apparently it's because the russians never really cared about having decent pistols so had really crappy ones instead.

Anyway, apparently a sig is a good substitute and some hollywood movie used a steyr pistol as some russian one.

I also found some airsoft czech pistol that could be passed off as russian (after all, czech-land was once part of the USSR).

Anywya, if any of U's know where or what to get I'm willing to take sugestions.

Oh and I'm happy with either a GBB or a springer, it's just for a sidearm.

unforitnitly in airsoft theres no company that makes a decent Russian pistol there has been a few made. My Steyr is Austrian. Look up the CZ75 and TT33 they are cool TT33 is Russian And CZ75 is Czech. THe Russians actually do make really cool pistols. The sig is not really a good substite I will have a look out for guns that look simular or are Russian pistols.

A PPK could also be subbed for a Mak. You could also use be using a captured german pistol.... theres some P38's in airsoftland, a PPK or a hipower would be legit.

The steyr looks a little like the czech CZ52....

If they made a TT-33 in airsoft i would buy it.

The Tokarev is pretty much perfect, however it is expensive. Something like 228 american dollars.

Wait I found a spinger version for 12 dollars.

    http://www.gunnerairsoft.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=108&products_id=524.

Oh yeah, german stuff is kinda out of the question. I'm kinda going for a 1960 russian gear thing.

Well, its not an easy ask, but it must be possible. It might be possible to reskin a gbb with a springer TT33 for example. BTW, and only slightly off topic, if you are interested i do happen to have the items mentioned residing in my safe.

One day... everything. Including tanks, a helicopter and jet aircraft. pirat ATM... just things like weapons, ammo, and their accoutrements (sling, holster, cleaning kit, pounches, belt, hat, etc) .... although to be fair im starting at the difficult end with the items that are actually pretty hard to get in NZ. Complete uniforms can be bought off the net from a variety of sources, although they have laws about ww2 and earlier stuff leaving the country. Im hoping to look into building a decent collection of uniforms and like stuff when i go over there.

    I like 24A. Very nice.

But 28 is scary in a non military way. kinda more like a serial killer that dresses in a rubber suit to ensure his DNA isn't left behind at the scene of the crime.

BTW we are kinda off topic. Maybe this should be a new thread.

Discussing serial killers in rubber suits is off topic. It may even disturb some of our viewers. In fact I find the idea of being stalked in the bush by that a wee bit disturbing.

    Anyway, something on topic ?

I read somewhere that Hudson no longer make the gun. Plus it's kinda expensive.
