Alright finally going to run this mil simish event
Operation Market Garden
In August 1944 allied forces launched the largest airbourne
operation in history. There objective was to end the war early
This operation ended up being a disaster for various reasons
German forces
Must Wear flecktarn or a WW2 German army uniform. Any weapons
are okay
Allied forces
WIll be split into 3 squads 2x British and 1 American
Americans will wear woodland, greens or a WW2 uniform
British will wear a WW2 uniform or Brit or Kiwi DPM.
Preferred, berets or helmets and parkas.
Set up:
3 flags will be set along a road they will be used to represent
the Bridges allied forces had to try take at Arnhem.
German forces: Will be set up however they like around the
flags.
Allied forces: will be lead by a marshell blind folded and
put into random locations through the field. The marshel may deciede
if they are armed or not and wherever they are put
Game:
German forces Objective is to defend and hold the 3 points. Once they have been pushed back after
a certian time they may mount various counter attacks until allied forces are pushed off the flags
to represent the Allies being defeat at Arnham.
Allies: There objective is to regroup into there squads and take all 3 flags. Once they are taken
they must hold and defend each flag.
Rules:
Germans: At start of game and untill Allies attack they must appear relaxed. Like they not know of
anything going on. They are allowed to send patrols of 1 or 2 out. Germans only have one life
after that will fall back to a certian point. Once there is a certian amount of people back at that
point they may launch a counter offensive. This is to represnt the Germans taking time to organise there
forces. In the counter attacks German forces will still have one life once is certian amount back at base
dead they may launch another counter attack and may keep repeating this untill allied forces have been
defeated.
Allies: will start off with limited ammo approxemetly 100 rounds or so. Each squad will be allocated a
medic, after 30 s you may respawn with medic touching you. Once the objectives are taken, team will be resupplied with ammo
The medic rule still will apply throughout the whole game for the allied forces. Medics will be designated with a white arm
band with red cross.
Reply what Team are on and if are definitely coming. Because would like exact numbers for this event for it to truly work. We do want a person that would like to volunteer marshell for the day they will actually enjoy themselves and be plenty for them to do.
