Well, a bright bold red, yellow, blue, any bright colour will do. Basically you have to stand out in the bush. The red shirt thing was just a joke. You know, the red shirts of star trek? They never live till the end of the episode. And seeing as how you won't survive the game they're used for I thought it was appropritate.

Well you'll have to take it up with the random number gods. There are a few sites on the internet that can guide you in appealling to them and influencing them. Most involve human sacrifice and LOTS of ritual.

I think most of the flectarn ended up in the same team anyway.
