Actually his slide has become so jammed to the frame that it is immovable.

Now if only we had an irresistable force...

Because thats what John does best the most random thing at the most random time. hmm but a 303 with out any lead could be fun could be cool scarrying the crap out of people.

An actor was killed by a gun firing blanks. The gun had misfired previously and the bullet was half way up the barrel. The blank then forced it out and into his head.

But even without a bullet, blank firing guns can scorch and burn at a reasonable range.

People have been killed by 'blanks'. Plastic wads or brass fragments are discharged at high velocity. They are light and dont go far, but they have enough energy at short range to penetrate into the body several inches.

Reenactors who fire blanks 'at each other' have very strict rules for loading blanks, engagement distances, and must ensure they do not aim directly at 'the enemy'.

    Off topic i know...

But couldn't they just use less power blanks? or would that lessen the effect?

Off topic we are, yes,..... but yes they do. Downloaded, and gas operated weapons have almost all the barrel closed off so that there is enough pressure to operate the action.

Sounds pretty dumb to me, your lolling about instant and permanent hearing loss not to mention the the number of laws broken that will see you loving fined by the government, refused entry to overseas countries and never permitted to even touch a bb gun again.

Not out to offend, just to educate. If you want to know more ask.

Or just look at the wikipedia article on blanks. i learned everything I know from the internets and its all true!

Well, not all, but the article does explain all the risks involved in blank firing. Ableitly in a very scientifical way that doesn't generate pictures of injuries in the reader's mind but with some imagination you can see what this could look like.
