In fact, off to both dark sides. Dark, black, naughty, bad, anti-social and wacky dark sides

AK Tac swallows uber sized 11.1v lipo for extra zing. I knew that stock would be good for something. It has this folding front grip thingy too, which i forgot to make good the photo of.

F2000 = perfect fit for small 11.1v lipo, does 348.5 fps out of the box and seems to ok so far. I was expecting to have to upgrade some internal parts immediately, but so far not so. Disassembly button is too easy to bump, will need a tweak i think. 450rd extended mag suits it nicely

I must say, that AK looks like a real gun. With most airsoft guns they look look like airsoft guns, but that gun, that gun looks real.

Also, side mounted red dot scopes are very handy. Great for minimising your profile when peaking around corners.. Unfortuanatley if you want to be able to go left and right you'll need two red dots, one for each side.

Ahh, but when you come to a left hand corner you must expose more of yourself.

Also, i always thought the reason you never bought an AK before was that they are not ambidextrous. So why do you have one now and are you planning on modding the gun or just living with it? I mean, I'm not left handed but an AK safety doesn't seem too difficult to use left handed, on the other hand a conversion would be cool, if difficult.

Not trying to necessarily negate or undermine your arguement in any way but the 2nd gun i bought new *was* an AK... a folding stock beta spetznaz you may recall. While it was some months ago and all santa you may recall using it yourself at some point.

I sold it cos i couldnt mount a red dot and the folding stock was uncomfortable. My short list a few months ago for buying a 'good' gun came down to tavor, M4 and Ak - the Tav is expenisve and the M4 won because of the top rail. Funny - i now have the bullpup and the ak as well.

And im used to being a lefty in a right handed conformist world - and a safety catch is only a minor inconvience, so thats not an issue.

I thought it should be further back too at the start but it pretty much matches up perfectly with the front. Like it was made that way. So front it is.
