Re: Favourite assault rifle
Sooo hard. Gone with AK type but Steyr, Famas, and a couple of others were close contenders.

Re: Favourite assault rifle
Lol!!
for me its a close race betwen the AK and the Sig. Really hard choice. Head says sig, heart says AK. So really, if i could have one and only one it would have to be the AK series.

Re: Favourite assault rifle
Comes to no surprise that the AK serious is winning although would have expected people to vote on other guns.

Re: Favourite assault rifle
I think the thompson should go at the top. And the ppsh41 next. And then the MP5. And then the sten gun, and P90. Seriously, there might not be room for the MP40
Of course the AK is winning. Its the favourite! If youd asked which one was best then it would be a whole lot more difficult.

SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM....
Like I said, it's really close. I wish I had more than one vote.
I must say one thing, AK's are ugly. However, because they have this huge reputation they sorta grow on you.
And Elle, you could arrange them alphabetacally.

Re: Favourite assault rifle
Aks do actually have a very good reputation of being a good reliable cheap assault rifle. Practically anyone can use it. L85A2s are good but the British are fazing it out soon in favour of the G36 because its actually a better gun.

Re: Favourite assault rifle
l85A2s are pretty cool. Bullpup is the way of the future! Well, I think so. However, G36's are better, and steyrs are even better.
I am of the opinion that the more you uglify an Ak the better it looks. And the more you try glam it up the crappier it looks. I have a picture of an AK47 Beta with a poor paint job and a bare bones stock (seriously, never seen this type before, looks like its made of mechano) and it look really good in my opinion. However, if you try and rail it up and make it all scopey, well, actually, that looks pretty darn good as well. So anyway you do it, it looks darn good.
Whereas some guns look not that great without any accesories. like the L85A2s, they really need their scopes. Steyrs need their scopes but their built in so its a moot point, and most importantly, the american assult rifles need accessories. Guns like the AK, G36, mp5, they all lokk good with out and look good with.
There are exceptions to what I have just said BTW.

Re: Favourite assault rifle
Don,t call my friend retarded hes jsut metally disabled far. The bullpup is sort of the way of the future in a way but also the G36 and Sig are small and are good decend weapons just expensive to buy for most armies thats why alot of poorer countrys still use the AK47, type 56, AKM and G3 because they are cheap and do the job they are surpose to.

Re: Favourite assault rifle
Decent bullpup G36's would be sweet.
Bullpup AKs don't really work out that greta, but there are a couple of good versions.

Re: Favourite assault rifle
Theres an idea I would prefer jsut the G36K for now not modified what so ever a bullpup version of it would look quite funny.
AK bullpups have already been tried and look as ugly as anything and don,t function properly

Re: Favourite assault rifle
There's a swiss version I think, it isn't an AK but it uses the same mechanism. That's pretty much the only good one.
A G36 bullpup might look good. Cos they're already kinda futuristic looking and stuff. Actually it would look darn cool. Kinda like a Steyr rather than a L85A2.

G36
well a g36 bullpup mite look good part from the fact that i wouldnt look anything like a G36! a SL8 with a shifted blowback would sum it up. also an ak is known as one of THE most relaible guns ever. aparently you could bury it in sand for a year, dig it up and shoot some invading americans trying to steal your goat.....

Strange looking thing that would be in 5.56 not many other rounds would be practical for it.
