Hi guys, My name is Alastair and some of you probably have already met me. Likewise I have already met most of you, but I have a crap memory for faces so I've forgotten who half you are anyway. I have been to several games with ATA recently and have even dragged some friends along to join in the fun. I have not been playing for very long, but am really keen to play as much as I'm able and am wanting to join the club.

I'm also quite handy with tools and am currently learning as much as possible about every kind of weapon I can get my hands on. This is purely for my own enjoyment and one day I might even make an armourer out of me. Very Happy
I'm also keen to help out in whatever way I can with the club, promoting it, building stuff, fixing stuff etc. As I live locally, (Palmy) I'm happy to give a ride to any who need it.

That being said, I hope to game with you lot soon.

Now that you mention it, they probably would. I seem to recall a couple of the younger guys appeared to be (almost) scared stupid by the masks Chris & myself used... pirat

How do game announcements work with ATA? Through this forum or ASNZ? Or even text message? I don't do facebook sorry...

Games should be posted up in the events section, ideally 2-3 weeks before they are due to happen. But lately most of the discussion seems to be on fb, just because its some kind of social networking place and most of the teens are into this social networking craze. Next game has been proposed for the 10th of march i believe. I shall see about having the anouncement put up.

They were probably scared stupid by the men behind the masks....... and i think it was some of thems first game, so they was probably doubly worried!

Thanks Mikey. I'll have to work on a scarier version for next time, maybe using my Desert Eagle with the "bang rule" will bring on the "code brown" lol!

Yeah, got big plans for the M4. It won't look much like an M4 by the time I'm done with it. pirat

Oops, forgot to say that I'll probably have +3 people with me for that game. That's 2 noobs and potentially a new club member.

I think you have... My friend Tim, (big bald guy in black with the Hi-Capa & 50 round mag, possible new member) Briar, (my flatmate) and her boyfriend Matt. Where is the game going to be held? And roughly what time would it start?

11am until 4pm. At totora reserve. 5 min before Rangi woods. Where the washed out carpark used to be right by the river.

Cheers, I have a pretty good idea where it is. There's a guy who lives about 200m up the road from the reserve who sells airsoft & paintball gear. I went up that way to pick up some stuff from him once.

He does get into RAM, he still has a lot of airsoft gear too. I talked to him a while ago and he said he was thinking of coming to a club day with some of his wares. That way people can see exactly whats on offer and perhaps even try it & see if it will work with their own guns/gear.
It may pay to keep him advised of upcoming games, or large events. His prices are pretty good and the quality of his goods certainly seems good. (LOTS of MAGPUL stuff) You never know, it might be a very good thing having a friendly retailer so close to the club... If we do enough business with him, club members could possibly get a special discount or something. Think about it people, it sounds like a win/win situation to me. Smile

Totara probably isnt the easit location for him to shoe off wares, but a game at rangi or someother site easily accessable by car would be
